Authors of original works appearing on Shakespeare’s Circuits retain copyright. All original contributor content is made available to the public for use and reuse under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC-BY-NC-SA) license, unless stated otherwise. If any individual contributor elects a different license, the contributor’s license takes precedence.

Digitized Archive Content

Shakespeare’s Circuits does not claim copyright on any works (e.g. text, image, video and audio) that have been digitized and included in the archive. All digitized content is made publicly available for limited use within the site either by expressed permission or under the Fair Use provision (Section 107) of United States Copyright Law, solely for non-commercial research, teaching and private study.

Software

Open Door Archive was built using WordPress, an open source content management platform and CartoDB, a “cloud-based” online GIS platform that enables building and displaying interactive maps in a web browser. Additional programming, code, and design developed by the Multimedia Learning Center are copyright Northwestern University and made freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC-BY-NC-SA) license, unless stated otherwise.
